In 2017, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Discovery Center launched a major refresh of their exhibits, with the goal of connecting visitors around issues impacting people locally and globally, highlighting the Gates Foundation and its partners’ work while inspiring the collective power of taking action. The new exhibits create opportunities for visitors to engage more deeply through first person stories and provide inspiration and resources to take action and make a difference in their own lives.

The content elevates stories of impact and features interactives that show while there are great challenges affecting the lives of millions of people around the world, there is progress being made and reasons to be optimistic. Throughout the refreshed Discovery Center, there are areas designed to inspire people to take action and get involved in issues they care about as well as a flexible special exhibition space that rotates new content and topics.
