Organized around the theme of”Coming to California,” the Gallery of California History focuses on the mixing of cultures, traditions, and peoples throughout history. All aspects of the exhibition were designed with an iterative prototyping process that combined conceptual and structural design, fabrication, and installation. Components were built and designed at the same time. Most of the exhibit elements and exhibit sections were mocked up in full scale, and many were formatively tested with visitors.
